The other day I was watching the Discovery Channel and they had some interesting things to say about the tribunal experience of Jesus Christ. They talked about His scourging, and the tearing of His flesh.

In the same program, they unearthed some skulls and bones of people from that region around the time that Jesus may have lived. In the forensic findings, they ascertain that Jesus had a large head, not narrow or slim as the Europeans do. They also figured because of His bloodline from Abraham to be from Shem or Ham, not Japheth. Japheth represents the European group of people. Jesus comes from the Shem group.

Shem's group had tight, curly hair, usually black. His skin would have been very dark because of the region and the weather components contributed to the darkness of their skin.

The scientist experimented with crucifixion in which they fitted a hand brace over a man's hands. They nailed him to the cross and let him hang there without nailing his feet. He felt extremely uncomfortable. Now mind you he was not crucified, just hanging from his hands that were in the braces. Then they anchored his feet and he felt much better, but realized that he would take quite a long time to die by this method.

They admittedly stated that they did not take into account that Jesus had lost a tremendous amount of blood before stepping upon the cross. Especially with the beatings, crown of thorns, the ripping out of his beard, and the scourging [whipping].

They also talked about the sweating of blood. I often wondered about that part of the biblical story for I have never seen anyone sweat blood. I don't doubt that it could happen, its just that I have not witnessed nor heard of anyone but Jesus have this experience. However, there was a medical doctor that said that indeed, sweating blood is very common. He gave a diagram in which he showed a cross section of the skin and its capillaries [blood vessels]. The capillaries actually come to the surface and sweat blood out of the skin. This phenomenon happens under extreme pressure such as what Jesus must have experienced, knowing that this would have been His last moments left on earth with His group.

The crucifixion was probably not on a cross as we see depicted in paintings or pictures. They often used dead olive trees and then placed a cross section of wood across the dead tree and then crucified the people. The soldiers did up to 500 in a day. So the trees were used over and over again. And you know that makes sense that this is more than likely what happened to Christ, because in the bible it says in Galatians 3:13, '.....cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'

Yes indeed, He was made a curse for us. Amen and thank you Jesus ~Minister Falcon
